Day 13 - Redlands United final day in the UK before departing for home consisted of a visit to central London to experience some famous traditional and historical culture.

Starting at Trafalgar Square, we take a walk down past the Horses Guards to Downing Street and then onto the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

A nice walk through St James Park to Buckingham Palace and then to finish the day off at the very famous Lillywhites sports store on Regents Street.

Rob and Dylan spare a nut for the very friendly grey Squirrels in St James's Park.

The boys pose for a picture outside Buckingham Palace.

Gary leads by example, braving the cold with a smile on his face.

After the sightseeing day in London, Redlands United head to the airport to depart for home.

A truly wonderful and valuable experience for the group.

From Steve and Gary of AMsportstours - all the very best and we look forward to next year!!

Day 12 - Match day for Redlands United and preperations begin with a morning training session with Chelsea FC with some free time before a pre match meal at the hotel.

Chelsea Coach Sam Hubert takes the session in preparation for the game this evening.

 Reading Development 4 - 4 Redlands United

A fantastic game of football here with the boys trailing 4 nil and into the final quarter, a massive push and great show of passion, determination and energy to bring it level.

On returning to the Hilton Hotel, players and parents come together for the end of tour presentation.

Graham summarises the experience and presents the Coaches Player of the Tour.

The players are briefed by their coaches before the training session

The players train in Essex at Barrows Farm Stadium, home of Harlow Town. Another bitterly cold afternoon with the players adapting very well to conditions, which are very different to what they are used to.

Day 10 - The group travel to the Britannia stadium, home of Stoke City FC for the Super Sunday game Vs. Tottenham Hotspurs.

Action from the 1st half of the game

Half time surprise for the players as they are taken out of the stadium to the other side for a pitchside parade.

This picture was shown on the screen to 27,500 fans and to the viewers watching on Sky Sports.

The players and coaches recieve a fantastic reception from the crowd and make the most of the wonderful opportunity.

Day 9 - Redlands arrive in the UK to start their 5 day tour in London. The group will take in Championship and EPL action, train with Arsenal and Chelsea coaches along with competing in their final fixture of the tour.

The group hit the ground running, going straight to the Reading FC Vs West Ham United game at the Madejski Stadium. A sell out crowd, three goals at our end and two sending offs on what was a bitterly cold afternoon gave the group a good insight to the passion and dedication to football in England.

Day 8 - Redlands have their final training session in Spain and time to relax before the end of Madrid presentation.

The players are given a bit of extra time to relax before the final training session in Spain. It is noticable that the players are learning from this experience in the way they play and it is hoped that they can take this experience and transfer it into their performances when they return to Australia.

Sergio starts the session with a fun game where players have to avoid each other whilst holding hands with a partner!

Sergio gives Kieran some advice on his movement to create space to receive the ball.

Jarod saves well from a shot from Aidan.

EDUKICK MADRID coaches Sergio and Poli were very impressed with the Redlands players and how they performed and conducted themselves. Sergio was keen to express to the players to keep working hard as they have a lot of talent.

Each player was given a training bag as a momento of their time in Madrid, training with Sergio.

Even the Redlands Coaches got recognised!

The final afternoon in Madrid allowed the boys free time to relax.

Some of the players decided to take on the elite pool team of Graham and Steve. After around 20 games of pool, the players realised they had more chance of winning the Spanish lottery than beating this unstoppable pair!!!

Final meal in Spain.

The Man of the Match award was presented to Lachy Gorry for his superb performance against Colmenar. Many of the players performed well in this match, however, Lachy was outstanding in the middle of midfield. He controlled the game and caught the eye of the Madrid coaches as being technically excellent!

And so Redlands United complete their Spain leg of the tour. A tremendous time was had by all and the players will take a lot of positives from this experience.

Steve would like to thank the group and wishes the players all the best for the season and also the future.

Next stop is London for the final leg of the tour, where they will meet Gary who is AMsportstours representative in the UK. They will continue this excellent experience with some surprises for the group along the way!

Enjoy!

Day 7 - A visit to the Santiago Bernabeu, home to Real Madrid and more sightseeing in this beautiful city!

After breakfast the group departed for a stadium tour of the Bernabeu. Redlands would be able to compare two of the best stadia in the world. How does the Bernabeu compare to the Nou Camp guys?

The tour starts right at the top of the stadium!

The ultra violet lighting on the pitch helps the grass grow. There are major preparations going on for the much anticipated fixture on Saturday 10th,
Real Madrid vs. FC Barcelona!

Dean checks out some of the many trophies this club has won over their history.

Graham is over the moon to learn one of his fellow countrymen played for Real Madrid!

Harry and Jarod with the European Cups!

Mourinho turns to his bench to see what options he has in the dying minutes of the game...... He decides to go with Lizzie......

Some of the boys get close to the pitch.

A press conference with the Redlands boys!

After the Bernabeu Tour, the group travelled back into the city for lunch in Opera square and then a visit to the Royal Palace and Gran Via shopping street.

The boys are able to get up close to the home of the King of Spain.

Unbelievable architecture that many of the parents enjoyed!

In the middle of the city in a busy shopping district, crowds gather to see what appeared to be a woman standing motionless on the edge of the building!

It turns out they were filming part of a film! The woman then disappeared and reappeared with others to wave to the crowd!!!

As was the popularity of the Australian boys being in Madrid (and also the amount of money they collectively spent in the VANS shop!) the manager of the shop wanted a picture of their happy customers!

At 6:00pm at night, the streets are packed with people Christmas shopping!
